a space for psychotherapy in Paiania, Athens

Two separate rooms were connected into one to create a space aimed for group and individual psychotherapy sessions.  The derived space is long and narrow with two atrium-gardens on both ends, which offer natural light but also a feeling of openness. Main request was to create a space that offers healing, tranquility, and comfort to clients. To achieve desired result, a natural color scheme as well as natural materials and textures were selected. In addition, artificial lighting is indirect and discreet without causing discomfort to the eye. Finally, a low in height seating area was designed as a means to create an impression of a more spacious, larger area.
